Project History

American River Common Features (ARCF) is an ongoing flood system infrastructure improvement program along the American and Sacramento River system that ranges from levee underseepage remediation to levee height raises.  Please follow this link for general information on.ARCF.  § Link §

Mitigation Requirements

SAFCA is expected to assume responsibility in 2010 for the operations and maintenance of mitigation plantings related to the following project


    • Mayhew Levee Improvement Project – This includes 13.47 acres of Valley Elderberry Longhorn Beetle mitigation at Goethe East and 5.0 acres on site

    • Pocket Geotech Improvements – This includes 0.7 acres of Valley Elderberry Longhorn Beetle mitigation at Goethe East

    • Pioneer Reservoir – This includes 1.8 acres of Valley Elderberry Longhorn Beetle mitigation at Goethe East
